The Tower of Excellence Award is Walsh University's most prestigious and long-standing honor that a Walsh student can attain for work and service beyond the classroom. It is presented to the senior who has during his/her Walsh years displayed outstanding leadership qualities; exemplary interest in co-curricular and extracurricular work; and social and moral behavior that fulfill the mission of Walsh. Carefully screened by the University according to these strict criteria, the Tower of Excellence laureate reflects the core values of Walsh: service, excellence and integrity.
The Outstanding Student Award, Walsh's most prestigious academic honor, is awarded to the graduating senior with a very high cumulative grade point average. The award represents more than excellence in a single discipline. The recipient's academic record must show insight, awareness and understanding from all the liberal arts. The award requires as well a record of meeting rigorous challenges and demonstrated ability to apply intellectual mastery.
