1.2.14 FOOTBALL: Three Cavaliers Named To All-Ohio Team
(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Three Walsh Cavaliers have earned post-season honors by being selected to the All-Ohio Team by OhioCollegeFootball.com for the 2013 season. Jamaris Brown (Jr., 5-9, Fort Myers, FL/Lehigh) was named a first team defensive selection as defensive back. Michael Dudics (Jr., 5-10, Doylestown, OH/Chippewa) made the second team on offense as a kicker and Andrew Roy (Sr., 6-4, Tallmadge, OH/HS) made the second team as a defensive lineman.
Brown, who was also an All-GLIAC First Team selection, started all 11 games for the Cavs at cornerback. He was tied for the GLIAC lead with five interceptions, 12 pass break-ups, and was second with four forced fumbles. Brown was fourth on the team with 71 tackles.
Dudics had an impressive first season with the Cavs as he earned the place kicking job in the middle of the season. He made 9-of-11 field goal attempts with a long of 38 yards. He was 22-of-24 on point-after-touchdown attempts. Dudics finished with 49 points which made him second on the team in scoring.
Roy finished his career in style as he led the team in tackles for loss with nine and quarterback sacks with four. He started every game except one which was missed as a result of a concussion. Roy finished his career with 28.5 tackles for a loss.
