1.21.12 WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD: Cavs Perform Well at Edinboro; Foster Wins PV
Women's Track & Field, 2012-01-22
(Edinboro, PA) Walsh turned in a fine performance at the Al Hall Freedom Games hosted by Edinboro University. Stephanie Foster (Jr., Lodi, OH/Cloverleaf) continued her dominance in the pole vault with a first place finish (12'467").
The Cavs 4x400m relay team of Carley Adams (Jr., Loiusville, OH/HS), Allison Swarny (Jr., Bolivar, OH/Tusky Valley), Dayna Daltorio (Sr., New Middletown, OH/Cardinal Mooney) and Sarah Martter (Jr., Peninsula, OH/Woodbird) raced to a second place finish (4:15.52). Swarny also finished second in the 400m dash (1:02.87).
Liz Broome (So., Doylestown, OH/Chippewa) and Mellisa Overman (Sr., Amherst, OH/Steele) each came away with third place finishes. Broome was third in the 60m dash (8.42) and Overmann in the shot (37'9"). Leah Beatty (Jr., Enon Valley, PA/Mohawk) placed fifth in the shot (36'5").
