10.11.12 WOMEN'S GOLF: Tsangeos Medalist; Cavs Win Phipps Memorial

Women's Golf, 2012-10-11

(Alliance, OH) Walsh caputred the three team Phipps Memorial Tournament, held at the Alliance Country Club today.  The Cavs shot 374 and defeated second place Malone (429) and third place Mount Union (431).  The Cavs had seven top ten finishes.

Jenny Tsangeos (So., Canton, OH/GlenOak) captured medalist honors after carding an 81 (40-41).  Morgan Jackson (So., Uniontown, OH/Green) tied for third place with a 92 (44-48).  Kayla Hardesty (Fr., Minerva, OH/Marlington) tied for fifth with a 97 (51-46),  Amanda Griffin (So., Tallmadge, OH/HS) tied for 5th at 104 (53-51) and Nicole Barr (Sr., Canton, OH/South) tied for 10th (111).

Playing as individuals; Meghan Hatfifeld (Fr., North Canton, OH/Jackson) tied for third place (92) and Taylor Henderhan (Fr., Massillon, OH/Perry) tied for eighth (109).
