10.12.11 MEN'S GOLF: Foutty Medalist; Cavs Second at Phipps Memorial

Blake Foutty (Fr., Canal Fulton, OH/Northwest) fired a 71, which included a 31 on the back nine to finish as medalist at the Phipps Memorial at Congress Lake Country Club today. Walsh finished second at 307, four strokes back of champion Malone University (304). The University of Mount Union finished third at 323.

Cody Cutright (Jr., Akron, OH/Springfield) carded a 73 (38-35) and tied for second place. Brandon Shannon (Fr., Cuyahoga Falls, OH/Woodridge) tied for 11th with an 81 (42-39), Collin Mottice (Sr., Manchester, OH/Green) tied for 13th at 82 (39-43) and Chuck Demchak (So., Canton, OH/Central Catholic) tied for 20th after shooting 85 (44-41).
