10.17.13 WOMEN'S TENNIS: Cavs Blank Millersville

(MILLERSVILLE, Pa.) Walsh improved to 11-4 with a 9-0 non-conference win over Millersville University (1-4) at the McComsey Tennis Courts today. The Cavs are at West Chester University tomorrow at 12 pm.

Walsh lost only five games in sweeping singles action. Sofya Logunova (Fr., Praha, Czech Republic/Russian Embassy School in Prague) won at first singles to improve to 11-4. Daria Bondareva (Fr., Sankt-Petersburg, Russia/HS) won her sixth straight match at second singles to raise her singles record to 12-3. Alona Skobkina (Fr., Tarragona, Spain/Instituto Espan de Andorra) won 6-0, 6-1 at third singles and is 11-4. Alisha Angle (Jr., Lexington, OH/HS) won at fourth singles, and has won her last 12 matches. She is 12-2.  Anastasiya Dasik (Fr., Kiev, Ukraine/School N 40) won 6-2, 6-0 at fifth singles.

Logunova and Skobkina won 8-2 at first doubles. Arina Kravtiz (So., Youngstown, OH/Boardman) and Jaclyn DiDomenico (Sr., Canfield, OH/Cardinal Mooney) won 8-0 at second doubles and Angle and Bondareva won at third doubles by default.
