10.18.11 WOMEN'S GOLF: Cavs Place 6th at Zippy Invitational

(Akron, OH) Walsh (41-14) ishot 335 in at the final round of 36-hole Fourth Annual Zippy Invitational and finished with a two-day total of 672, good for sixth place in the seven-team field. The host University of Akron shot 597 and won the tournament, which was played at Rosemont Country Club.

Nikki Kulasa (Sr., Amherst, OH/Amherst Steele) finished at 164 (84-80) and paced the Cavs tying for 21st place. Katy Collins (Sr., Youngstown, OH/Ursuline) placed 25th at 165 (83-82), Jenny Tsangeos (Fr., Canton, OH/GlenOak) tied for 29th at 170 (82-88), Kim Smith (Sr., Whitehouse Station, NJ/Hunterdon Central) tied for 33rd at 175 (90-85) and Abbey Kimar (Sr., Canton, OH/Jackson) tied for 37th place at 176 (88-88).
