10.18.13 WOMEN'S TENNIS: Cavs Post 12th Win

(WEST CHESTER, Pa.) Walsh improved to 12-4 on the season, as they defeated West Chester University (3-5) 9-0 at the South Campus Courts today. The Cavs are idle until next weekend, when they participate in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. All tournament information will be available next week.

Sofya Logunova (Fr., Praha, Czech Republic/Russian Embassy School in Prague) won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles to improve to 12-4. Daria Bondareva (Fr., Sankt-Petersburg, Russia/HS) won her seventh straight match at second singles to raise her singles record to 13-3, with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.

Alona Skobkina (Fr., Tarragona, Spain/Instituto Espan de Andorra) won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles to raise her record to 12-4. Alisha Angle (Jr., Lexington, OH/HS) won 6-1, 6-1 at fourth singles to improve to 13-2 on the season. Angle has won her last 13 matches.

Anastasiya Dasik (Fr., Kiev, Ukraine/School N 40) won 6-1, 6-4 at fifth singles and. Arina Kravtiz (So., Youngstown, OH/Boardman) posted a 6-3, 6-2 victory at number six singles.

Logunova and Skobkina won 8-5 at first doubles and stand 9-7 on the year. Angle and Bondareva won 8-5 at second doubles and improved their mark to 9-5.  Dasik and Kravitz won 8-1 at third singles and have a 7-5 record.
