10.2.11 MEN'S GOLF: Cavs Finish Sixth at Wittenberg

(Wittenberg, OH) Walsh (21-11) finished sixth at the Rosecrans Maurer Invitational hosted by Wittenberg University. The host Tigers won the tournament by 17 strokes over third place Rhodes College. Walsh shot 611 (313-298) for the 36-hole event.

Dennis Finneran (Jr., Wadsworth, OH/HS) shot a career low 70 on Saturday and finished tied for 5th at 146. He shot a 76 today. Brandon Shannon (Fr., Cuyahoga Falls, OH/Woodridge) finished 34th at 154 (76-78). Cody Cutright (Jr., Akron, OH/Springfield) bounced back after shooting a 87 on Saturday to fire a 70 today and finished tied for 41st at 157. Chuck Demchak (So., Canton, OH/Central Catholic) tied for 49th at 159 (83-76) and Collin Mottice (Sr., Manchester, OH/Green) tied for 51st at 160 (84-76).

The Cavs played a strong round today with player shooting higher than 78.
