10.20.12 VOLLEYBALL: Cavs Fall in Four to Saginaw Valley

Women's Volleyball, 2012-10-20

(University Center, MI) After capturing the first set 25-22, Walsh (7-12, 4-7) dropped three straight sets and the match at Saginaw Valley State University (10-13, 5-6) today.  The Cavs are back in GLIAC action on Friday, at home, against Ashland University at Alumni Arena at 7 pm.

The match was tight throughout. Saginaw evened the match in set two winning 28-26. They would capture the third set 25-23 and the fourth by the same score.

Julianne O’Donnell (5-10, Sr., Willowick, OH/Lake Catholic) led the Cavs 21 kills and 19 digs.  Paige Chandler (Jr., 6-0, Cincinnati, OH/McNicholas) had solid effort with 15 kills and 10 digs.  Krissy Sokol (5-9, Jr., Akron, OH/Archbishop Hoban) delivered 11 kills, Emilee Muzechuk (Fr., 5-9, Mansfield, OH/Madison) had 14 digs and Jenna Golic (Sr., 5-10, Mentor, OH/HS) had 10 digs.
