10.25.12 MEN'S SOCCER: Notre Dame Stops Cavs

Men's Soccer, 2012-10-25

(Lyndhurst, OH) Walsh fell to 3-10 in the GLIAC and to 3-12 overall, after falling 3-1 to Notre Dame College (12-4, 8-4) tonight.  The loss was the fourth straight for Walsh.  The Cavs close the season with a non-league contest at Wheeling Jesuit College on Saturday.

Notre Dame scored twice in the first 13 minutes, and led 2-0 at the half.  The Falcons increased their lead to 3-0 with a tally at the 62-minute mark.

Walsh closed to within 3-1 on Chris Lynch's (Jr., Bellbrook, OH/HS) third goal of the season on a header six yards out at the 69-minute mark.  Adam Greenwood (Sr., Blackpool, ENG/Lytham St. Annes) assisted on the goal.

Notre Dame outshot the Cavs 19-8.
