10.27.12 MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: Cavs 2ndin 5k; Justin Groubert 4th

Men's Cross Country, 2012-10-27

(North Canton, OH) Walsh (36-20) finished second (40) in the three-man 5k race, held on campus today.  Malone University (20) finished first and Point Park University (82).  The race was held in rainy, windy and cold conditions and closes the season for Walsh, and first year Head Coach Rob Mizicko.

Walsh graduate assistant coach Luke Grau, running unattached won the 5K (15:11.50).  Walsh’s Justin Groubert (So., Hartville, OH/Lake) paced the Cavs with a fourth place finish (15:40.10).  Jordan Groubert (Sr., Hartville, OH/Lake) was next with a ninth place finish (16:00.50).  Justin Eddy (Jr., Perry, OH/HS) placed 10th (16:05.50), Jackson Zaremba (Fr., Canton, OH/GlenOak) was 14th (16:33.90), Matt Roshak (So., North Canton, OH/Hoover) was 19th (17:00.30) and Matt Thiessen (Fr., Navarre, OH/Perry) 21st (17:08.40).
