10.27.12 MEN'S SOCCER: Cavs Can't Hold Lead in Finale at Wheeling

(Wheeling, VA) Wheeling Jesuit (11-7) erased a 3-1 Walsh first half lead and defeated the Cavs 4-3 in their season finale. Walsh closes the season 3-13 and with losses in their last five games.
Matt Bly’s (Sr., Bellbrook, OH/HS) second goal of the season at 36:07 tied the game at 1-1. He scored on a cross from Chad Dickerhoof (Sr., Alliance, OH/Marlington) on the right side. Two minutes later Adam Greenwood (Sr., Blackpool, England/Lytham St. Annes) gave Walsh a 2-1 lead on an assist from Broc Sutek (Sr., Minerva) in the box. It was Greenwood’s second goal of the year. Walsh tallied its third goal of the half as Kain Melville (So., South Shields, Newcastle, Eng./Gateshead) scored on a header at 41:11. Chris Lynch (Jr., Bellbrook) had the assist.
Wheeling scored at 50:24 and the tied the game 59:61. Wheeling’s Phillip Mshelbwala then scored what proved to be the game winner at 60:51.
