10.27.12 VOLLEYBALL: Cavs Weather Storm

Women's Volleyball, 2012-10-27

(North Canton, OH) Walsh (8-13, 5-8) swept Lake Erie College (3-19, 0-13) by set scores of 25-18, 26-24 and 25-21 in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match.  The Cavs are now idle until next Friday; when they travel to the University of Findlay for a GLIAC match at 7 pm, then travel to Wayne State University on Saturday (2 pm).

Devin Hummel (5-8, Fr., Shelby, OH/HS) led the Cavs with a season high 15 kills to go with 10 digs.  Julianne O’Donnell (5-10 Sr., Willowick, OH/Lake Catholic) added 14 kills and 10 digs. Paige Chandler (6-0, Jr., Cincinnati, OH/McNicholas) and Brittany Morris (5-11, Sr., North Royalton, OH/Padua) each had 5 kills.  Emilee Muzechuk (5-9, Fr., Mansfield, OH/Madison) had 10 digs and Mallory Lenhart (5-9, So., Lambertville, MI/Bedford) handed out 31 assists.
