10.3.12 WOMEN'S TENNIS: Cavs Earn Second GLIAC Win

Walsh stopped rival Malone University’s (6-8, 1-7) five-match win streak, and won its second straight Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match with a 7-2 triumph. The win improves the Cavs to 2-6 overall and in the GLIAC.
Walsh swept doubles action and won four of six singles matches. Alisha Angle (So., Lexington, OH/HS) and Allison St. George (Sr., Boardman, OH/Cardinal Mooney) won at second doubles and Mary-Catherine Beck (Sr., Alliance, OH/St. Thomas Aquinas) and Jaclyn DiDomenico (Jr., Canfield, OH/Cardinal Mooney) won at third doubles.
St. George also won at third singles and Beck at fifth singles. Kayla Shaheen (Sr., Canton, OH/Central Catholic) and Arina Kravitz (Fr., Youngstown, OH/Boardman) posted wins at fourth and sixth singles respectively and Shellie Webster (SR., Lexington, OH/HS) and Shaheen won at first doubles.
Walsh is home for the weekend, hosting Ohio Dominican University on Friday (2:30 pm), Tiffin University on Saturday (9 am), and Ashland University on Sunday (11 am) in GLIAC action.
