10.31.12 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Cavs Selected 6th in GLIAC South

The 2012-13 GLIAC pre-season polls have been released and Walsh University is picked to finish sixth in the South Division. The Cavaliers picked up 68 votes for its first year in the GLIAC and is coming off a 14-17 campaign last year. Last year’s national runner-up Ashland is picked to win the division as the Eagles tallied all 23 first-place ballots. Ferris State is picked to win the North Division.

The Cavaliers open the season with an exhibition at Cleveland State tomorrow night at 7 p.m. They will open the regular season at home against Ohio Midwestern College on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. Walsh’s first conference game will be against Northern Michigan on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m.
