10.4.13 WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: Dickey Earns Top 10 Finish in All-Ohio Championship
Women's Cross Country, 2013-10-04
(CEDARVILLE, Ohio) – Kelsey Dickey (Jr., Cortland, OH/Lakeview) turned in a top 10 finish at the 59th annual All-Ohio Intercollegiate Championship in the NCAA Division II/NAIA breakdown at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course hosted by Cedarville University. The Cavaliers finished eighth overall out of 12 schools in the Division II scoring. Overall, Walsh placed 24th out of 42 schools.
Dickey’s time of 23:29.45 was good for ninth individually of 84 Division II/NAIA runners. Overall she placed 36th out of 283 athletes. Kate Ryan (Jr., Alliance, OH/Marlington) followed up with a time of 25:06.99 that placed her 30th individually. Sarah Torok (Fr., Strongsville, OH/HS) was third for Walsh with a time of 25:50.46. Annie Zaremba (Fr., Canton, OH/GlenOak) and Gabby TiTullio (R-So., Galion, OH/Northmor) rounded out the top five for the Cavs with times of 26:03.49 and 26.39.79, respectively.
Malone won top team honors in the Division II/NAIA scoring. Walsh placed ahead of Ohio Dominican, Mount Vernon Nazarene, Rio Grande, and Central State.
The Cavaliers thin-clads will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational in Pittsburgh with a scheduled start time of 11:45 a.m.
