10.5.12 WOMEN'S SOCCER: Cavs Fall 3-1 at Ohio Dominican

(Columbus, OH) Walsh (5-3-2, 2-3-1) was bested 3-1 by Ohio Dominican University (6-4-2, 2-3-2) in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action at Panther Field tonight. The loss was the second straight for the Cavs, who play GLIAC foe Ashland University on the road Sunday at 2 pm.

The Panthers struck first, scoring at 30:08.  Walsh tied the game when Jessie Gearhart (Fr., Wadsworth, OH/HS) scored an unassisted goal, her team-leading fifth of the season at 34:46 of the half.  The score remained tied at the half.

ODU scored what proved to be the game-winning goal at 71:11, and then added an insurance goal at 86:08.  The Panthers outshot the Cavs 16-6.
