No. 21 Saginaw Valley State University used two first half goals en route to a 3-0 defeat of Walsh at Milazzo Field. The Cavaliers drop to 2-8 overall and 2-6 in the GLIAC. The Cardinals improve to 8-2-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the conference.

Saginaw Valley took the lead after its offense attacked with a few shots in the 15thminute. One of the shots bounced off a Walsh defender as the ball found its onto the right side of the box where Zach Walega was able to put it in the net. Zach Myers added two more goals in the 28thand the 87thminutes to set up the final score.

Mike Kelley (Sr., 6-0, Chagrin Falls, OH/NDCL) made seven saves in goal on 21 shots faced. Jordan Semple (Sr., 5-7, North Canton, OH/GlenOak) had four shots for the Cavs’ offense.

The Cavaliers return to action on Sunday as they host Ashland. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
