10.6.13 WOMEN'S TENNIS: Cavs Edge Eagles 5-4

(ASHLAND, Ohio) After dropping two of three doubles matches, Walsh (8-3, 8-3) rallied to win four of singles matches to edge Ashland University (6-5, 6-5) at Ashland today. The match was delayed by rain and lasted 4 hours and 45 minutes.

Daria Bondareva (Fr., Sankt-Petersburg, Russia/HS) and Alisha Angle (Jr., Lexington, OH/HS) came away with the Cavs' only doubles win; postng an 8-6 triumph.

Bondareva won 6-0, 6-1 at second singles and Angle won 7-6, 3-6, 6-4 at fifth singles. Angle has won her last eight matches.

Sofya Logunova (Fr., Praha, Czech Republic/Russian Embassy School in Prague) won 6-3, 6-2 at first singles and Alona Skobkina (Fr., arragona, Spain/Instituto Espan de Andorra) won 6-4, 6-2 at fourth singles.

The Cavs are back in action next weekend when they play at Hillsdale on Friday (4 pm), Wayne State (10 am) on Saturday and the University of Findlay (10 am) on Sunday.
