10.6.13 MEN'S GOLF: Cavs Tied For Sixth After Second Day In GLIAC Championship

(BATH, Mich.) - Walsh has completed the second day of the GLIAC Men’s Golf Championship and finds itself in the middle of the field. The Cavaliers currently have a score of 615 and are tied for six in the team standings with Northwood. The Cavs shot a 302 on the first day and a 313 this afternoon.

Blake Foutty (Jr., Canal Fulton, OH/Northwest) is currently tied for 11th overall in the individual standings with a score of 151. He shot a 75 on Saturday and carded a 76 today. Brandon Shannon (Jr., Cuyahoga Falls, OH/Woodrige) is one stroke behind him after shooting a 75 today. Zach Keylor (Fr., Barnesville, OH/St. Clairsville) has the best round of any of the Cavaliers so far with a 72 on Saturday. He shot an 81 today for a two-day score of 153. Eric Bowman (Jr., Alliance, OH/St. Thomas Aquinas) and Jeff Cockerham (Jr., Akron, OH/Ellet) round out the Walsh squad with scores of 159 and 162, respectively.

Ohio Dominican currently leads the field with a score of 599. Ashland is in second place at 602. The 2013 GLIAC Championship will conclude on Monday.
