11.15.13 MEN'S BASKETBALL: Cavs to Honor Pallotta on Saturday Before Wilberforce Game

The Cavs face a familiar foe in Wilberforce University (0-6) on Saturday. The Bulldogs and Cavs were each members of the old American Mideast Conference in the NAIA. Wilberforce is still a member of the NAIA. Walsh won 106-73 last season and leads the all-time series 23-4.
Walsh opened its 52nd season with a 91-47 thrashing of former American Mideast Conference foe Houghton College last Saturday night. Walsh led from start-to-finish and enjoyed a 35-point lead at the half (50-15).
The Bulldogs fell to 0-6 after losing 83-81 to Indiana Tech on Tuesday. Cameron Luckett poured in a game-high 32 points. Levert Bristol added 18 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.
Walsh will honor former great Nick Pallotta in pregame ceremonies. Pallotta, Walsh’s first All-American passed away this past summer. Pallotta played for the Cavs for two seasons (1963-64, 1964-65) and averaged 29.7 points per game after transferring from NCAA l Loyola.
