12.15.11 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Cavs Face Foes in Sunshine State

Walsh (4-4) travels to West Palm Beach, Florida for a pair of games on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, at 12pm, the Cavs meet Southwestern Christian University and on Saturday at 2 pm play host school Northwood University. Both games will be broadcast live on TEAMLINE.

After winning two straight games the Cavs fell 73-59 at the University of Rio Grande on Tuesday. Walsh shot just 21% from the field in the first half and trailed by 12 points (35-23) af halftime. Mandi Swickard (6-1, Sr., Alexandria, OH/Northridge) led Walsh with 11 points.

Southwestern Christian University comes into the Friday contest with a record of 3-8. They have won two of their last three games, but lost 87-62 to Oklahoma Christian University on Saturday. LaPrchea Saunders is averaging a team-high 10.8 points. Ciara Thomas is averaging 10.6 points.

Northwood is 2-5 on the season. They play Notre Dame College on Friday at 2 pm. Keisha Rivera is averaging 13.0 points per game and Yasemen Harris 12.0 points.

Tracy Payne (Jr., 5-5, Danville, OH/HS/Notre Dame College) leads the Cavs in scoring with a per game average of 13.5 points. Daniella Ciccarone (So., 5-8, Quakertown, PA/ Quakertown Community) (pictured left) is the only Cavalier averaging in double figures at 11.3.
