Lucia Cirese Joins Walsh University as Director of Alumni Relations

Walsh University has named alumna and former Walsh University Alumni Board member Lucia Cirese as director of alumni relations. In this position Cirese will be responsible for alumni relationship-building initiatives including the Walsh University International Alumni Association and Board, and will handle outreach to over 12,000 alumni worldwide.
Cirese's professional experience includes project management, education outreach, special events management and volunteer coordination. She began her career in early elementary education for Our Lady of Peace school.
Cirese holds both a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Education from Walsh University. She was awarded the Stark County 2009 Person of Character-Character Counts Award. Her volunteer experience includes Walsh University Alumni Board, Project M.O.R.E. Reading program, as well as serving as a lector and eucharistic minister at St. Anthony's parish in Canton. An involved member of the Canton Italian-American community, Cirese speaks fluent Italian and is a part of the United Fossaltese Club, an organization of Southern Italians who settled in Canton, Ohio.

The growth and changes that have taken place on this campus over the years are exciting, and I am looking forward building strong relationships with our great alumni," Cirese said.
