Walsh (8-1) looks for their sixth straight win when they host Algoma University (7-4) at Alumni Arena tonight. The Cavs are coming off a 95-80 win over The University of Akron-Wayne last Friday. Ron Kinney (6-7, Sr., Cleveland, OH/Rhodes) scored a career-high 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was 12-21 from the field and 6-11 from three-point. Kenny Kornowski (6-9, Jr., Marshallville, OH/Smithville) (pictured left) added 17 points and 11 rebounds on 7-11 from the field and L. J. Sutton (6-7, Sr., Youngstown, OH/Cardinal Mooney) added 10 points and 10 rebounds on 5-8 from the field. For the second straight game Brad DuPont (6-0, So., Massillon, OH/Jackson/Wheeling Jesuit) just missed a triple double with 19 points, 12 assists and 8 rebounds. Rian Burrell (6-3, Fr., Zanesville, OH/HS) added 13 points off the bench.

Algoma, out of Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario Canada, is 7-4 on the season and compete in the Ontario College Athletic Association. The Thunderbirds split two games at the Notre Dame College. They best host Notre Dame 69-65 on Sunday, before falling 76-74 to Rio Grande yesterday. Jovain Wilson (6-2, Sr., G) leads the team in scoring and is averaging 20.2 points. Dale Oworu (6-4, Sr., F) is next at 16.4 points and leads the team in rebounding (21.7). The T-Birds are averaging 81.2 points and allowing 62.8.

Ron Kinney leads the team in scoring (19.8) and is averaging 25.3 points in his last four games. Kinney is shooting 55% from the field, 46% from three-point and 83% from the line. Kenny Kornowski is next at 19.4 points and leads the team in rebounding (9.8). Kornowski is shooting a team-best 57% from the field. Rian Burrell is third on the team in scoring at 11.7, mostly off the bench. He has started twice. The freshman is shooting 56% from the field and and team-best 48% from three-point. L. J. Sutton is also scoring in double figures at 10.1 points and is averaging 6.4 rebounds. Brad DuPont is handing out 9.7 assists per game, which matches his scoring average. He has just missed a triple double in each of the last two games.
