Lima, OH) The University of Northwestern Ohio (7-8) held on to defeat Walsh (6-6) 68-65 in a non-conference game. The Cavs are back in action on Friday night when they travel to Ashland University for a 5:30 tip-off. The game will be broadcast live on TEAMLINE.

Walsh led by as many as seven points in the first half, before a late Racer rally gave the home team a 35-31 halftime lead. Walsh trailed 46-39, when they rattled off seven straight points to knot the game at 46 with 10:44 to play on a Tracy Payne (5-5, Jr., Danville, OH/HS/Notre Dame) (pictured left) lay-up. After a UNOH miss, Walsh had the chance to take the lead but turned the ball over. The Racers would score with three-point play to regain the lead for good.

Walsh would trail by as many as nine points twice, at 59-50 and 61-52, when they would rally and close the lead to 65-60 and to 65-63 on a Maggie Berry (6-0, So., Cleveland, OH/St. Joseph's) three-ball with 25 seconds left. It would be as close as the Cavs would come.
