Women's Basketball, 2014-02-02

Walsh (6-13, 2-11) looks to snap a three-game skid when they host Malone University (14-6, 9-5) tonight (5:30 pm), as part of the GLIAC Rivalry week. The Cavs then host  Ashland University on Thursday (5:30 pm), and Lake Erie College on Saturday (1 pm). All games will be streamed live on TEAMLINE.

HISTORY: In one of the most thrilling games in Walsh basketball history, the Cavs fell 106-105 in four overtimes to Hillsdale last Saturday at Alumni Arena. The game is longest in Walsh history, and the longest in NCAA ll this year. Jalynn Graham sent the game into the first overtime with a jumper with 28 seconds to play, which knotted the game at 66-all. Hillsdale’s Megan Fogt sent the game into a second OT with a jumper, and the Chargers’ Madison Berry scored with ten seconds to play to send the game into a third overtime. It looked as if Walsh would win the marathon in the third overtime when Kelsey Funderburgh’s three-pointer gave the Cavs a 98-95 lead with eight seconds to play.
