2.5.11 WOMEN'S TRACK: Foster, Havens Post Wins at Mt. Union

Women's Track & Field, 2011-02-06

(Alliance) Walsh's Stephanie Foster (So., Lodi, OH/Cloverfleaf) and Kristi Havens (Sr., Wadsworth, OH/HS) each finished first in events at the Jim Wuske Open, held at the Peterson Field House at Mount Union College today. Foster won the the pole vault (11-06.25) and Havens the 1000m run (3.11.90). Foster shattered her own mark of 11-5.5 set last week and met the "A" Standard.

Sarah Martter (So., Peninsula, OH/Woodbridge) captured a third place finish in the 500m dash in a time of 1:23.43. The Cavs 4x200m team, comprised of Carley Adams (So., Louisville, OH/HS), Alison Swarny (So., Bolivar, OH/Tusky Valley), Lis Broome (Fr., Doylestown, OH/Chippewa) and Sarah Morrison (So., Alliance, OH/Marlington) finished third in a time of 1:50.91.

Leah Beatty (So., Enon Valley, PA/Mohawk) finished fourth in the shot put (38-09.00). Caite Shears (Jr., Washington Court House, OH/HS) finished sixth in the high jump (4-11.00) and Nicole Culler (Jr., Beloit, OH/West Branch) eighth in the 3000m (11:27.49).
