Soehnlen 123rd at NAIA Championships...

Senior John Soehnlen (Sr., Magnolia, OH/Sandy Valley) finished 123rd (27:30) at the NAIA Cross Country Championships last Saturday in Kenosha, Wisconsin. John was the lone Walsh representative at the meet and the first qualifier since 1998.

Soehnlen at NAIA Championships...

Senior John Soehnlen will represent Walsh at the NAIA National Meet in Kenosha, Wisconsin on November 23. Soehnlen paced the Cavs with 12th place finish in a time of 26:35 at the AMC Meet to qualify for the big meet. He is making the trip to Kenosha for the first time and is Walsh's first qualifier since 1998.

Cavs 8th at AMC Championships...

Walsh (46-35) finished 8th at the American Mideast Conference Championships held at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday. Walsh finished third at the AMC meet last year.

Senior John Soehnlen paced the Cavs with 12th place finish in a time of 26:35 and qualified for the NAIA National Meet in Kenosha, Wisconsin on November 23. Soehnlen is making the trip to Kenosha for the first time, giving Walsh its first qualifier since 1997. Ryan Collins (So., Creston, OH/Norwayne) was next for the Cavs in 44th place (28:18). Nick Aukerman (So., East Canton, OH/HS) was 49th (28:31), Steve Mackle (Fr., Malvern, OH/HS) 64th (29:01), Joel Dagenhardt (So., Marlington, OH/HS) 73rd (29:29), Rob Strong (Jr., Tusky Valley, OH/HS) 78th (29:50) and Tim DeWitt (Fr., Aurora, OH/HS) 81st (30:00).

Cavs at AMC Championships...

Walsh (42-28) was idle last week. This week the Cavs compete at the American Mideast Conference Championships at Roberts Wesleyan this Saturday. Walsh finished third at the AMC meet last year.

Cavs 12th at Gettysburg Invitational...

Walsh (42-28) finished 12th at the 34-team Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday. The Cavs are off this weekend. They compete at the American Mideast Conference Championships at Roberts Wesleyan next Saturday. Walsh finished third at the AMC meet last year. John Soehnlen (Sr., Magnolia, OH/Sandy Valley) paced the team with an 19th place finish (27:09) at Gettysburg. Steve Mackle (Fr., Malvern, OH/HS) was next with a 59th place finish in a time of 28:12. Ryan Collins (So., Creston, OH/Norwayne) placed 78th (28:29), Nick Aukerman (So., East Canton, OH/HS) finished 102nd (28:50) and Bill Crim (Fr., Uhrichsville, OH/Claymont) 142nd (29:50).

"(20-17) Cavs 7th at All-Ohio"

The Cavs finished seventh among NAIA/NCAA Division ll schools at the Ohio Intercollegiate Championships held in Delaware, Ohio last Friday. Walsh finished 28th overall. John Soehnlen (Sr., Magnolia, OH/Sandy Valley) paced the team with an 16th place finish (28:11). Steve Mackle (Fr., Malvern, OH/HS) was next with a 25th place finish in a time of 28:46. Nick Aukerman (So., East Canton, OH/HS) finished 36th (29:56 ), Joel Dagenhardt (So., Marlington, OH/HS) 37th (29:58) and Bill Crim (Fr., Uhrichsville, OH/Claymont) 38th (30:00). The Cavs compete at the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday.

"Cavs (16-13) Second at Mt. Union Invite/All-Ohio Meet Next"

The Cavs placed second at the four-team Mt. Union Invitational held at Walsh. This week the Cavs compete in the Ohio Intercollegiate Championships in Delaware, Ohio. Walsh has finished 18th in each of the last two seasons. John Soehnlen (Sr., Magnolia, OH/Sandy Valley) paced the team with an 8th place finish (26:38). Joel Dagenhardt (So., Marlington, OH/HS) was right behind Soehnlen in ninth place at 26:40. Steve Mackle (Fr., Minerva, OH/HS) finished 12th (27:34) and Bill Crim (Fr., Uhrichsville, OH/Claymont) placed 17th (27:47).

"Cavs 3rd at Wooster"

The Cavs placed third at the ten-team at the College of Wooster Invitational. John Soehnlen (Sr., Magnolia, OH/Sandy Valley) paced the team with a 12th place finish (27:37). Joel Dagenhardt (So., Marlington, OH/HS) was next with a 20th place finish (28:03). Steve Mackle (Fr., Malvern, OH/HS) finished 22nd (28:14) and Ryan Collins (So., Creston, OH/Norwayne) placed 44th (29:15). This week the Cavs run at home in the Mt. Union College Inviational.

"Men 8th at Notre Dame"

The Cavs finished a strong eighth in the College Division of the National Catholic Cross Country Meet held Friday in South Bend, Indiana at Notre Dame. Joel Dagenhardt (So., Marlington, OH/HS) paced Walsh with a 20th place finish (27:16). John Soehnlen (Sr., Magnolia, OH/Sandy Valley) was next finishing 39th in a time of 27:49 and Steve Mackle (Fr., Malvern, OH/HS) finished 43rd (27:56). Ryan Collins (So., Creston, OH/Norwayne) placed 61st in a time of 28:33. The Cavs are at the College of Wooster next Saturday.

"Cavs Fourth at Muskingum/Compete at National Catholic Meet at Notre Dame (South Bend) on Friday"

The Cavs opened the season with a fourth place finishe at the five team 8k Muskingum Invitational on Saturday. Joel Dagenhardt (So., Marlington, OH/HS) paced Walsh with a 12th place finish (24:25. 98). John Soehnlen (Sr., Magnolia, OH/Sandy Valley) was 18th (24:57.11) and Steve Mackle (Fr., Malvern, OH/HS) finished 25th (24:57.01). The men compete at the National Catholic Meet at Notre Dame on Friday.
