"Cavs Sixth at AMC/NAIA Region IX Championships"

Walsh (46-29) finished sixth (181 pts.) at the American Mideast Conference/NAIA Region IX Championships, held at Tiffin University today.  Cedarville University won the event (22 pts.). Lauren Blase (Fr., Boardman, OH/HS) paced the Cavs with a 21st place finish, in a time of 19:43.84. 

Other Cavalier finishes: Marie Pasuit (Fr., Stow, OH/HS) 35 (20:02.53), Andrea DiNinno (So., Harrison City, PA/Greensburg) 41st (20:19.48), Kristen LeFever (Fr., Alliance, OH/Marlington) 45th (20:26.03) and Ashley Heidenreich (Jr., Peninsula, OH/Woodridge) 51st (20:43.01).

"Cavs Set for AMC/Region IX Championships at Tiffin"

Walsh (38-24) tuned-up for the American Mideast Conference/NAIA Region IX Championships, with their 4x3 K relay on campus last Saturday.  The Cavs "A" Team finished second, with other teams finishing fourth, fifth and eighth.  Kristen LeFever (Fr., Alliance, OH/Marlington), Andrea DiNinno (So., Harrison City, PA/Greensburg), Lindsay Cooper (Jr., Canton, OH/Central Catholic) and Ashley Heidenreich (Jr., Peninsula, OH/Woodridge) were on the second place team and finished in a time of 52:20.

Walsh finished 12th at the AMC/Region IX Meet last year.

"Cavs Finish 9th at Gettysburg Invitational"

Walsh (38-24) finished 9th at the 19-team Gettysburg College Invitational Invitational today.  The University of St. Thomas won the race.  Kristen LeFever (Fr., Alliance, OH/Marlington) paced the Cavs with a 28th place finish in a time of (24:22.86).  Lauren Blase (Fr., Boardman, OH/HS) was 45th (24:59.66), Marie Pasuit (Fr., Stow, OH/HS) 56th (25:20.42),  Andrea DiNinno (So., Harrison City, PA/Greensburg) 62nd (25:20.42), Tess Francis (Sr., Randolph, OH/Waterloo) 83rd (26:17.16), Jennifer Foster (Fr., Carrollton, OH/HS) 92nd (26:51.82), Jackie Misiak (So., North Royalton, OH/HS) 113th (27:37.90), Alicia Cooper (So., Atwater, OH/Waterloo) 141st (29:11.82) and Vicki Tomsic (Sr., Madison, OH/HS) 165th (30:44.20).

Walsh will host their annual Alumni Meet next Saturday.

"Cavs 7th at All-Ohio Meet"

Walsh (28-16) finished seventh at the All-Ohio Meet, held at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio on Friday.  Cedarville University won the NCAA II/NAIA race.  Kristen LeFever (Fr., Alliance, OH/Marlington) paced the Cavs with a 29th place finish in a time of (20:52.6).  Lauren Blase (Fr., Boardman, OH/HS) was 33rd (21:15.1),  Andrea DiNinno (So., Harrison City, PA/Greensburg) 36th (21:36.7), Tess Francis (Sr., Randolph, OH/Waterloo) 40th (22:15.3), Lindsay Cooper (Jr., Canton, OH/Central Catholic) 42nd (22:18.3) and Jennifer Foster (Fr., Carrollton, OH/HS) 49th (23:04.6).

 

The Cavs compete at the Gettysburg Invitational (PA) on Saturday.

"Cavs Win Co-Ed Invitational"

Walsh won the Co-Ed Classic, held on campus yesterday.  The Cavs (45) won over second place Malone (78). Kristen LeFever (Fr., Alliance, OH/Marlington) paced the Cavs with a second place finish in a time of (20:17).  Lauren Blase (Fr., Boardman, OH/HS) was third in a time of 20:47, Marie Pasuit (Fr., Stow, OH/HS) finished fifth (21:08), Andrea DiNinno (So., Harrison City, PA/Greensburg CC) sixth (21:14) and Lindsay Cooper (Jr., Canton, OH/Central Catholic) seventh (21:16).

"Cavs 8th at National Catholic Cross Country Invitational"

(South Bend, IN) Walsh (22-10) finished eighth at the National Catholic Cross Country Invitational at the University of Notre Dame today.  Lauren Blase (Fr., Boardman, OH/HS) (Pictured top right) paced the Cavs with a 17th place finish in a time of 20:12.  Kristen LeFever (Fr., Alliance, OH/Marlington) was next for the Cavs with a 34t place finish (20:40). Marie Pasuit (Fr., Stow, OH/HS) placed 49th (21:01), Andrea DiNinno (So., Harrison City, PA/Greensburg CC) 74th (21:47), Lindsay Cooper (Jr., Canton, OH/Central Catholic) 80th (21:54), Jennifer Foster (Fr., Carrollton, OH/HS) 83rd (21:59), Katie Wirtz (Jr., Lakewood, OH/HS) 97th (22:16) and Tess Francis (Sr., Randolph, OH/Waterloo) 100th (22:20).

"Cavs 4th at Fisher Invitational at Westminster"

Walsh (8-3) finished fourth at the 12-team Fisher Invitational, held at Westminster College today.  Alderson Broaddus finished first, with Gannon second and Saint Vincent third.  Lauren Blase (Fr., Boardman, OH/HS) paced the Cavs with a 10th place in a time of 20:19.  Kristen LeFever (Fr., Alliance, OH/Marlington) was right behind Blase, with an 11th place finish in a time of 20:21.  Marie Pasuit (Fr., Stow, OH/HS) was next at 25th (20:55), followed by Jennifer Foster (Fr., Carrollton, OH/HS) 31st (20:59), Andrea DiNinno (So., Harrison City, PA/Greensburg CC) 31st (21:02), Lindsay Cooper (Jr., Canton, OH/Central Catholic) 35th (21:40) and Tess Francis (Sr., Randolph, OH/Waterloo) 36th (21:44).
