2008 Walsh University Women’s Golf Outlook

With a definite look to the future, first year Head Coach Kevin Longanecker prepares the Cavs for the 2008 spring slate. Walsh finished the fall portion of the schedule 10-13, led by senior Tammy Schumacher (Whitney Point, NY/HS) and junior Kaley Foster (Manchester, OH/HS). The Cavs have a roster of four, so each match will provide a challenge.

Schumacher completed an outstanding fall, averaging 83.7, and finishing as medalist at the Urbana University Invitational (86) and the Stark County Memorial Invitational (82). She shot a pair of 78’s (career best) at Ohio Dominican and led the Cavs at every tournament.

Foster averaged 87.2 and was named to all-tournament teams at Urbana (88) and Ohio Dominican (84-78). She carded four pars at Urbana, while finishing third overall.

Kaitlin Sesock (So., Uniontown, OH/Lake) and Melanie Stone (Fr., Akron, OH/Firestone) complete the squad. Sesock averaged 104.8 in the fall and Stone 112.2.
