"Cavs Finish 8th at AMC Tournament"
Walsh (19-35-1) finished eighth at the American Mideast Conference Championships, held at the Apple Valley Golf Course in Howard, Ohio. The Cavs finished with a 54-hole score of 968 (312-336-320). Malone University won the tournament with a 54-hole score of 880.
Sam Troyer (Sr., Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) tied for 16th at 233 (78-77-78). Jesse Green (Sr., Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) tied for 31st at 244 (80-83-81), Collin Mottice (Fr., Manchester, OH/Green) tied for 40th at 248 (78-88-82), Cody Cutright (Fr., Springfield, OH/HS) tied for 43rd at 252 (76-96-80) and Brant Harbert (Jr., Uniontown, OH/Green) finished 46th at 255 (86-88-81).

"Cavs 8th After First 27 Holes of AMC Tournament"
Walsh (483) is in eighth place after the first 27 holes of the American Mideast Conference Golf Championships, being held in Howard, Ohio at the Apple Valley Golf Course. Malone leads the 54-hole event, after shooting 441 on the first day. The final 54 holes will be played on Friday.
Sam Troyer (Sr., Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) is tied for 20th at 118 (78-40). Cody Cutright (Fr., Springfield HS) (76+45+ 121) and Jesse Green (Sr., Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) (80+41+121) are tied for 31st. Collin Mottice (Fr. Manchester, OH/Green) is tied for 35th (78+45=123) and Brant Harbert (Jr., Uniontown, OH/Green) is 47th (86-47=133).

"Cavs 6th at Malone, Troyer Fires 71 in Final Round"
Walsh (17-278-1) finished sixth at the 36-hole Malone University Tannenhauf Invitational. The Cavs finished with a two-day total of 643. Host Malone won with a score of 571.
Collin Mottice (Manchester, OH/Green) paced the Cavs with a two-day total of 155 (80-75) and finished tied for 23rd. After shooting an 85 on Friday, Sam Troyer (Sr., Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) storned back with a 71 on Saturday for a total of 156 and tied for 25th. Cody Cutright (Fr., Springfield HS) finished 41st (86-79=165), Jesse Green (Sr., Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) tied for 44th (81-86=167) and Nick Gallo (Sr., Wicklife, OH/HS) placed 55th (88-90=178). Brant Harbert (Jr., Uniontown, OH/Green) (84-88=172) and Pat Moro (Sr., Warren, OH/JFK) (88-86-174) played as individuals.

"Weather Cancels Second Round at Mt. Vernon, Cavs 5th"
Walsh (14-23-1) finished fifth in the weather shortned Mt. Vernon Nazarene Cougar Classic. The Cavs scored 360 and finished 72 strokes back of champion Ohio Dominican University (321). The Cavs are back in action on the 17th and 18th, at Tannenhauf GC in the Malone Invitational.

"Cavs Finish 3rd at Kenyon"
Walsh (14-19-1) shot a final round 331 and finished third at the Kenyon College Invitational. Walsh finished with a two-day total of 666, just six strokes behind tournament winner College of Wooster (660) and two strokes back of second place Mercyhurst College (662).
Sam Troyer (Sr., Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) finished fourth, with a two-day total of 160 (77-83). Cody Cutright (Fr., Springfield HS) tied for fifth at 163 (82-81), Collin Mottice (Manchester, OH/Green) tied for 20th at 169 (89-80), Jesse Green (Sr., Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) and Nick Gallo (Sr., Wicklife, OH/HS) tied for 38th (87-90=177).
The Cavs also had three players competing as individuals. Pat Moro (Sr., Warren, OH/JFK) tied for 32nd (84-94=175), Brant Harbert (Jr., Uniontown, OH/Green) tied for 44th (88-93=181) and Dominic Reolfi (Jr., North Canton, OH/Hoover) placed 52nd (97-90=187).

"Troyer Tied for 2nd, Cavs 3rd after First Round at Kenyon"
Walsh shot an opening round 335, and stand fifth, 18 strokes behind the College of Wooster at the Kenyon College Invitational today. With poor weather looming for Sunday's final round, a shotgun start is scheduled and will begin at 10 am.
Sam Troyer (Sr., Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) fired a 77 (38-39) and is tied for second place, four strokes behind the leader. Cody Cutright (Fr., Springfield HS) is tied for 13th with an 81, after a pair of 41's. Jesse Green (Sr., Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) is tied for 36th with an 87 (44-43), Collin Mottice (Fr., Manchester, OH/Green) is tied for 43rd with an 89 (46-43) and Nick Gallo (Sr., Wicklife, OH/HS) shot 90 (42-48) and is 46th.

Walsh (9-17-1) opens the spring half of their season at the 36-hole Kenyon College Invitational this Saturday and Sunday at Apple Valley Golf Course. Tee times are 9 am both days.

"Cavs Tie for 4th at Mount Union Invitational"
Walsh (9-17-1) tied for fourth (609) with Baldwin-Wallace College (609) at the Mount Union College Fall Invitational. The Cavs shot a first round score of 303 on Sunday and a final round tally of 306 today. John Carroll University won the tournament with a two-day score of 569.
Freshman Collin Mottice (Manchester, OH/Green) finished seventh, and paced the Cavs with a two-day total of 146. Mottice shot a pair of 73's. Sam Troyer (Sr., Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) tied for 10th with a 148 (73-75). Jesse Green (Sr., Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) tied for 43rd place with a 158 (78-80), Sam Deighan (Fr., Bedford, OH/St. Peter Chanel) shot 159 (79-80) and tied for 46th and Cody Cutright (Fr., Springfield HS) tied for 53rd place with a 160 (82-78).

"Cavs Second at Phipps Memorial"
Walsh finished second (307), 16 strokes behind Malone College (291), at the Phipps Stark County Memorial Golf Tournament today. Mount Union College finished third (310).
Freshman Cody Cutright (Springfield HS) finished third and paced the Cavs with a 73. Cutright fired a 34 on the back nine. Freshman Collin Mottice tied for eighth with a 76. Sam Troyer (Sr., Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) and Jesse Green (Sr., Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) each shot 79 and tied for 15th. Nick Gallo ( Sr., Wickliffe, OH/HS) shot 94 and finished 29th.

"Risaliti, Walsh Alum, to Coach Men's Golf Program"
Walsh University alum, Anthony Risaliti, has been named Head Men's Golf Coach, announced Vice President of Student Affairs and Director of Athletics Dale Howard. Risaliti will begin his responsibilities immediately. Walsh is a member of the National Intercollegiate Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and competes in the American Mideast Conference.
Risaliti is a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School (1979) and Walsh (1987), where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration. He also earned his associate degree in accounting from Stark Technical College, before transferring to Walsh. While at St. Thomas, he helped the Knights to an eighth place state championship finish and won the Stark County Amateur Class A Championship, and was selected the Most Improved Player in the Stark County Golf Association. He lettered on Walsh's 1986 District 22 Championship Team.
"We feel very fortunate to have a person of Anthony's abilities and passion and to be willing to join our athletic department, as head men's golf coach," exclaimed Director of Athletics, Dale Howard. "Given his dedication to the program when he was a student-athlete at Walsh, and his continued support of Walsh as an alumnus, I am confident that he will serve as the catalyst that we are looking for to provide mentoring and leadership to our current student-athletes."
"I am really excited and honored to accept the Walsh University Head Men's Golf Coach position," exclaimed Risaliti. "The team has strong returning seniors, and five incoming freshmen with lots of talent. Walsh's golf team has enjoyed many year's of successful winning programs, and I want to continue the tradition that I enjoyed when I played at Walsh under the legendary coach Brother James Lacasse."
Risaliti is a member of the American-Italian Golf Association (8 yrs.) and the Stark County Golf Association (12 yrs.). He is also President of Anthony Risaliti Concrete Construction, INC in Canton.
