3.19.11 MEN'S TRACK: Cavs Second at Stark County Challenge

Walsh finished second today in the three-team Stark County Challenge, hosted by the Cavaliers. The University of Mount Union won with a score of 204. The Cavs were next at 140 and Malone University was third with a score of 137.
The Cavs had numerous winners in multiple events. Brad Schrecengost (Sr., Cortland, OH/Lakeview) won the hammer with a throw of 172-02 (NAIA "B" Standard Qualifier). Brian Williams (Sr., Canton, OH/McKinley) finished first in the 110m hurdles in a time of 15.17 and Jeff Farrell (Fr., Fort Myers, FL/Bishop Verot) won the 200m dash in a time of 23.48.
Joe Paulenich (Jr., Youngstown, OH/Mooney) finished second in the discus (124-07) and Farrell grabbed a second place finish in the 100m dash (11.79). Evan Heck (Sr., Canton, OH/Central Catholic) finished second in the 800m (2:01.28) and Colin Davis (So., Carrollton, OH/HS) in the 400m hurdles (58.47).
