3.19.13 WOMEN'S TENNIS: Ohio Northern Edges Cavs
Women's Tennis, 2013-03-19
(Ada, OH) After capturing two of three doubles matches, Ohio Northern University (12-3) posted wins in five of six singles to defeat Walsh (4-17) 6-3 at the ONU Sports Center today.
The Cavs' number one doubles team of Kayla Shaheen (Sr., Canton, OH/Central Catholic) and Shellie Webster (Sr., Lexington, OH/HS) opened play with a 8-6 win. Jaclyn DiDomenico (Jr., Canfield, OH/Cardinal Mooney) and Allison St. George (Sr., Boardman, OH/Cardinal Mooney) then won 8-5 at number three doubles.
Alisha Angle (So., Lexington, OH/HS) posted a 6-4, 6-2 win at second singles.
The Cavs host Denison Univeristy at Hall of Fame Courts on Saturday morning at 10 am.
