3.22.12 WOMEN'S TENNIS: Walsh Defeats Ohio Dominican 6-3

Walsh traveled to Ohio Dominican to take on its future conference foe and returned victorious with a 6-3 decision. The Cavaliers (8-3) will be members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, of which the Panthers (7-12) are members of now.

The Cavs won two of the three doubles matches and four of the six singles matches in the win. Shellie Webster (Jr., Lexington, OH/HS) and Alisha Angle (Fr., Lexington, OH/HS) both won in singles action and each improved to 8-3 individually on the season. The team of Allison St. George (Jr., Boardman, OH/Cardinal Mooney) and Kayla Shaheen (Jr., Canton, OH/Central Catholic) and the team of Jaclyn DiDomenico (So., Canfield, OH/Cardinal Mooney) and Rebeka Beresh (Sr., North Canton, OH/Hoover) were paired together for the first time this season and both picked up points in doubles action.

Walsh will next play on Saturday as it will host Davenport at 10:30 a.m.
