3.26.11 WOMEN'S TRACK: Cavs Win Amy Adams Memorial at Muskingum; Foster Sets Outdoor Mark

(New Concord, OH) Walsh won the Amy Adams Memorial Invitational going away today. Walsh grabbed nine first place finishes and totaled 277.50 points in the 19-event meet. Westminster finished second (171), host Muskingum third (154.50) and Ohio Dominican University fourth (20).
The following all won their respective events for the Cavs; Molly Martin (So., Canfield, OH/HS) 400m (1:02.04 - meet record), Kristi Havens (Sr., Wadsworth, OH/HS) 1500m (5:28.96), Dayna Daltorio (Jr., New Middletown, OH/Cardinal Mooney) 400m H (1:08.64 - meet record), Nicole Culler (Jr., Beloit, OH/West Branch) 200m SC (8:31.00), Amanda Bennett (So., Tallmadge, OH/HS) high jump (5-04.25), Melissa Overmann (Jr., Amherst, OH/Amherst Steele) shot put (37-05.25), Kayla Bruan (Fr., Hudson, OH/HS) javelin (101-.04) and the Cavs' 4x400m relay team of Martin, Sarah Martter (So., Peninsula, OH/Woodbridge), Liz Broome (Fr., Doylestown, OH/Chippewa) and Carly Walters (Fr., Garfield Heights, OH/Trinity) set a meet record in a time of 4:13.29.
Stephanie Foster (So., Lodi, OH/Cloverleaf) took first in the pole vault (12-04.00 - automatic qualifying mark) and set a Walsh outdoor mark and a Muskingum stadium record. Her 12-04 vault is also currently tops in the NAIA.
Leah Beatty (So., Enon Valley, PA/Mohawk) placed second in both the shot put (36-06.75) and hammer (1-27.01). Sarah Martter placed second in the 800m (2:3039), Broome in the 200m (27.08), Katie Laughlin (Jr., Malvern, OH/Canton South) in the 200m SC (8:40.00), Walters in the 400m (1:04.59) and Cara Bedard (Sr., Mogadore, OH/Waterloo) in the javelin (99-01).
