(Columbus, OH) Walsh is tied for fifth place after the first round of the Capital University Purple & White Invitational at the Westchester Golf Course.  Walsh shot 305 and is tied with Bethel College.  Malone University leads the field with a first round score of 283.

Dennis Finneran (Jr., Wadsworth, OH/HS) and Tyler Bornstein (Fr., Uniontown, OH/Lake) are tied for 11^th after shooting opening round 73’s.  Cody Cutright (Sr., Akron, OH/Springfield) is tied for 33^rd (79), Carl Lemmon (Jr., Canton, OH/Louisville) is tied for 39^th (80) and Dean Miller (Fr., Canton, OH/Central Catholic) is tied for 46^th (83).
