4.13.13 BASEBALL: Cavs Split with Grand Valley
(Grand Rapids, MI) After losing 12-0 in game one to GLIAC leader Grand Valley State University (17-12, 11-5), Walsh (16-11, 10-7) came back and registered a 1-0 victory in the nightcap at DeWitt Field on the campus of Cornerstone University. The doubleheader was moved to Cornerstone due to undesirable field conditions at the Laker Baseball Field.
The rubber game of the series is tomorrow at noon, and will be played at Cornerstone. A win in the series finale would give the Cavs their fifth straight series win.

Kotlar lasted three innings and was touched for nine runs on eight hits in his roughest outing of the season. The right-hander was tagged with the loss and falls to 2-1. Walsh mustered just four hits.
