4.18.12 MEN'S TENNIS: Walsh Takes Down Tiffin Dragons 6-3

Walsh defeated future conference foe and visiting Tiffin 6-3 at the Klekotka Tennis Complex Wednesday afternoon. The Cavs (14-4) have now won eight-straight matches. The Dragson (13-9) are current members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Walsh will be members of the GLIAC next season. The match was originally scheduled for last week but had to be postponed due to inclement weather.

Diego Yung (Sr., Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires), Mark Innes (Sr., Randburg, South Africa/Kings School), Jon Esber (Sr., Canton, OH/Central Catholic), and Christian McCauley (Fr., Hartville, OH/Lake) all won  singles matches. Esber and Innes teamed up at first doubles and Yung and Louis Thomas (So., Canton, OH/Jackson) teamed up at second doubles. Both pairings won and gave Walsh a 2-1 advantage before singles play.

The Cavs return to action tomorrow afternoon as they entertain Cedarville at 3:30 p.m.
