(Newcomerstown, OH) Walsh (33-23) finished second at the three-team John Carroll University Invitational played at River Green Golf Course.  The Cavs shot 314, finishing one stroke behind John Carroll (313) and 35 strokes better than third place Heidelberg University (349).  Freshman Brandon Shannon (Cuyahoga Falls, OH/Woodridge) captured medalist honors after carding a 74 (35-39).

Blake Foutty (Fr., Canal Fulton, OH/Northwest) shot 77 (39-38), Michael Mann (Jr., Louisville, OH/HS) 81 (44-37), Dennis Finneran (Jr., Wadsworth, OH/HS) 82 (37-45) and Cody Cutright (Sr., Akron, OH/Springfield) 83 (42-41).

The following golfers played as individuals; Tyler Bornstein (Fr., Uniontown, OH/Lake) shot 80 (39-41), Andy Fox (Jr., Millersburg, OH/West Holmes) 81 (41-40), Sam Deighan (Sr., Bedford, OH/St. Peter Chanel) 82 (40-42), Steve Ely (Jr., Brunswick, OH/Padua Franciscan) 85 (39-46) and Daniel Krier (Fr., Massillon, OH/Central Christian) 86 (38-48).
