4.26.13 WOMEN'S LACROSSE: Cavs Fall at Lake Erie

(PAINESVILLE, Ohio) - Walsh faced another tough opponent in Lake Erie tonight and fell by a score of 19-4 at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium. The Cavaliers are now 2-7 overall and 1-6 in the GLIAC. The Storm improves to 12-4 overall and 6-1 in the conference.

Lake Erie started the game hot and scored the first 17 goals of the game. The Cavaliers eventually got on the scoreboard with a goal by Mary Myers (Sr., 5-5, Stow, OH/Walsh Jesuit) at the 17:45 mark of the second half. Myers scored two goals to pace the Cavs. Ivy Meloy (Jr., 5-8, Cuyahoga Falls, OH/HS) and Lauren Bricker (So., 5-2, Louisville, OH/HS) also added goals.

The Cavs will conclude their inaugural season at the University of Findlay this Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
