4.4.14 BASEBALL: Lee Tabbed GLIAC Player of the Week

Walsh University senior catcher Mike Lee (Barberton, OH/HS) has been named the GLIAC's Position Player of the Week.

Lee hit .632 (12-16) in Walsh's six GLIAC wins over Northwood University and the University of Findlay. Lee hit two homers, slugged two doubles and drove in 10 runs, while also scoring six runs. He posted a 1.105 slugging percentage and .708 on base percentage.

Lee was 3-3 with two doubles and a homer in win over Northwood in the first game of a double header on Wednesday. He also hit a three-run homer against Northwood in the final game of Walsh’s three-game sweep. Mike had three hits in game one of the Findlay series, and three hits and two RBI in the final game of the Findlay series.

The Cavs (16-15, 8-5), who have won seven straight games, travel to Lake Erie for a single GLIAC game on Wednesday, and then host Grand Valley State in a league twin-bill on Saturday (1 pm) and single game on Sunday (1:30 pm). Walsh is tied for second place in the GLIAC with Wayne State University.
