4.6.12 WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD: Foster, Relay Team Win at Mount

Walsh fared well at the non-scoring John Hormon Open at the University of Mount Union today. The Cavs garnered two first place finishes and two second place finishes.
Stephanie Foster (Jr., Lodi, OH/Cloverleaf) won the pole vault (11-07.75) and Dayna Daltorio (Sr., New Middletown, OH/Cardinal Mooney), Sarah Martter (Jr., Peninsula, OH/Woodridge), Molly Martin (Jr., Canfield, OH/HS) and Allison Swarny (Jr., Bolivar, OH/Tusky Valley) won the 4x400 meter relay in a time of 4:06.01.
Allie Simmons (Sr., Toledo, OH/Central Catholic), Liz Broome (So., Doylestown, OH/Chippewa), Larissa Ziegler (Fr., North Ridgeville, OH/Elyria Catholic) and Carley Adams (Jr., Louisville, OH/HS) placed second in the 4x100 relay in a time of 51.69. Daltorio took second in the 400m hurdles (1:08.04) and Carly Walters (So., Garfield Heights, OH/Trinity) took third (1:10.00). Broome took third in the 200m (26.95) and Katelyn Smith (Fr, North Lima, OH/South Range) placed third in the 100m hurdles (17:34).
The Cavs are at Malone University on Saturday for the Jack Hazen Invitational.
