4.9.11 WOMEN'S TRACK: Bennett Sets Mark at Mount Union
Women's Track & Field, 2011-04-10
Walsh's Amanda Bennett (So., Tallmadge, OH/HS) set a school record in the high jump (5-7, "A" Standard) at the John Homon Open at the University of Mount Union today.
Stephanie Foster (So., Lodi, OH/Cloverleaf) captured Walsh's only other first place finish in the pole vault (11-6.25).
Dayna Daltorio (Jr., New Middletown, OH/Cardinal Mooney) and Nicole Culler (Jr., Beloit, OH/West Branch) each earned second place finishes. Daltorio in the 400m hurdles (1:07.25) and Culler in the 3000m steeplechase (12:56.84).
Cavs 4x400m relay team comprised of Sarah Martter (So., Peninsula, OH/Woodbridge), Carley Adams (So., Louisville, OH/HS), Molly Martin (So., Canfield, OH/HS) and Allison Swarny (So., Bolivar, OH/Tusky Valley) finished third in a time of 4:09.52. Swarny also finished third in the 400m (59.81). The 4x100m team of Allie Simmons (Jr., Toledo, OH/Central Catholic), Michelle Green (So., Dewitt, IA/Central Clinton), Lauren Ignazio (Jr., Austintown, OH/Ursuline) and Liz Broome (Fr., Doylestown, OH/Chippewa) finished third in a time of 51.74 and Callie Shears (Jr. Washington Court House, OH/HS) placed in the triple jump (32-11.5).
