5.18.11 MEN'S TENNIS: Five Cavs Named to All-AMC Team; Bossart Coach of the Year

The Walsh University Men's Tennis Team placed five players on the All-American Mideast Conference Team and Sherry Bossart was named Coach of the Year for the 15th time. Walsh won the AMC regular season championship, but fell in the AMC/KIAC title match.
Gary Innes (Sr., Randburg, South Africa/Kings School Robin Hills), Mark Innes (Jr., Randburg, South Africa/Kings School Robin Hills) and Pierre Le Grange (Sr., Johannesburg, South Africa/Abbott's College) were each named to the singles and doubles teams, while Jonathan Esber (Jr., Canton, OH/Central Catholic) was selected to the doubles team and Diego Yung (Jr., Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires/Institute Peralta Ramos) to the singles team.
Gary Innes earned All-AMC accolades for the fourth straight year. He played mostly fourth and fifth singles and number one doubles with his brother, Mark. He fashioned an 8-10 singles record. Mark received All-AMC honors for the third straight year, playing anywhere from first to fifth singles. He compiled an 8-7 mark. The duo finished 10-5 in doubles action.
Le Grange played mostly second singles and recorded a 12-4 mark. This is his first selection to the AMC Team. Esber earned All-AMC honors for the third year after compiling a 6-8 mark at mostly third and fourth singles. He teamed with Le Grange, and the twosome compiled a 7-6 mark at first and second doubles. Yung played first singles for all but three matches and finished the season 11-6. This is his second straight selection to the All-AMC Team.
