5.3.11 WOMEN'S GOLF: Cavs Finish Third at UAC

(Camby, IN) Walsh finished third at the four-team Unaffiliated Conference Championships, held at the Hearland Crossing Golf Course in Camby, Indiana. Bethel College (640) won by 28 strokes over second place University of St. Francis (668). Walsh shot 682 and Marian University 694. Bethel earned a trip to the NAIA National Championships with the win. Walsh still hopes of reaching the national tournament through an at-large berth.

Nikki Kulasa (Jr., Amherst, OH/Amherst Steele) paced the Cavs, and tied for ninth at 168 (83-85). Katy Collins (Jr., Youngstown, OH/Ursuline) tied for 11th at 170 (84-86), Kim Smith (Jr., Whitehouse Station, NJ/Hunterdon Central) finished 13th at 172 (89-83), Katie Kohut (So., Twinsburg, OH/Walsh Jesuit) finished 14th at 174 (85-89) and Kelsey Ozanich (So., Warren, OH/Howland) finished 16th at 178 (87-91).
