5.8.11 WOMEN'S TRACK: Bennett Sets Mark at Akron

Walsh did well at the University of Akron on Saturday. Amanda Bennett (So., Tallmadge) tied her personal best and took first in the high jump at 5-7'. The Cavs 4 x 400m relay team took second and shattered a team mark (3:57.8) set in 1985. Dayna Daltorio (Jr., New Middletown, OH/Cardinal Mooney), Sarah Martter (So., Peninsula, OH/Woodbridge, Molly Martin (So., Canfield, OH/HS) and Allison Swarny (So., Bolivar, OH/Tusky Valley) set the new mark in a time of 3:57.5. Stephanie Foster (So., Lodi, OH/Cloverleaf) placed third in the pole vault (12-2) and Kristi Havens (Sr., Wadsworth, OH/HS) finished fourth in the 800m (2:28).
