He was a standout quarterback and linebacker at Lincoln Hall, earning all-state honors in both football and basketball.  He set a school record for touchdowns in a season and was a third-team NYSSWA all-state Class C selection.  Taylor then enrolled and graduated from Alfred State Community College, where he was a second-team All-NJCAA selection and first-team All-Northeast Football Conference pick. He lettered one year at Youngstown State, playing in 10 games at free safety.

Reed lettered at Canton Timken and is a transfer from Marshall University.  He will be redshirted in 2012.
