Walsh University is mourning the loss of their first basketball All-American with passing of Nick Pallotta on June 19 from complications of Alzheimer's.

Pallotta transferred from Loyola University in 1964, and was instant offense for the Cavs in his two years. He averaged 34.3 ppg as a junior and 25.7 as a senior and was named a Little All-American. The sharp-shooting Pallotta was the first Walsh player to score 1.000 points and finished his career with 1,279 points (17th all-time).

After graduating from Walsh, Pallotta served as the Athletic Director at the Canton Jewish Center for 45 years.
