8.15.12 FOOTBALL: Walsh Picked 5th in GLIAC Southern Division

Walsh has been picked fifth in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference Football Coaches Poll.  Walsh, in its first year in the GLIAC, received 49 points and was picked ahead of Tiffin, Notre Dame (43) and Malone (41).  Ashland was picked to win the South with 113 points, with Ohio Dominican picked second (108).

Walsh opens the season on Thursday, August 30 at Kentucky Wesleyan University.  The Cavs open GLIAC play September 8 at Northwood University and play their GLIAC home opener on September 15th at 12 pm against Michigan Tech.  Giant Eagle at Washington Square will have free tickets for the home opener starting in September.
